SSC CGL Tier 1 Shift Timings 2026

Reaching the centre well before the gate closing time is essential, as candidates arriving late may not be permitted to appear for the exam.

SSC CGL Exam City Intimation Slip

Before the admit card, SSC releases an Exam City Intimation Slip that informs candidates which city their exam centre will be located in. This slip helps candidates plan their travel in advance. The exact centre name and address are confirmed only on the final admit card, so candidates should download both documents separately as they become available.

SSC CGL Exam Centres 2026

SSC CGL Tier 1 exam centres are spread across all major SSC regions of India, including the Northern, Central, Eastern, Western, Southern, North Western, North Eastern, Karnataka-Kerala and Madhya Pradesh regions, covering 141 cities in total. The specific exam centre allotted to a candidate is mentioned only on their individual admit card, so this cannot be confirmed in advance from the exam city intimation slip alone.

Documents Required on SSC CGL Exam Day 2026

Candidates must carry the following documents to the exam centre without fail:

• A printed copy of the SSC CGL Admit Card 2026
• An original valid photo ID (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, Voter ID or Driving Licence)
• One recent passport-size photograph
• Date of birth proof, if the date of birth is not mentioned on the photo ID

Candidates who could not complete Aadhaar authentication during registration must carry at least two recent passport-size colour photographs along with their original photo ID showing date of birth, and should report to the centre 2 hours before the reporting time mentioned on the admit card.

What to Do If You Face Issues Downloading the Admit Card

If the admit card is not visible on your login, first confirm that your exam date has already been scheduled, since SSC releases hall tickets in batches.
